Our Vision
Our Vision is to engage ALL students in an innovative, 21st century learning environment while developing a growth mindset, problem-solving skills, and cultural responsibility within our Seahawk Community.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Sunnymeadows opened its door to students and the community of Moreno Valley, Californis in July of 1980. Sunnymeadows prides itself in having enriching and engaging classrooms in which currently include 1 TK classroom, 21 general education classrooms, 3 SDC classrooms and 1 RSP classroom. Sunnymeadows also takes pride in being a Silver Award Winner for PBIS.
Setting high expectations for students, allowing students to be responsible for their own learning, and held accountable for their own behavior choices develops students' self efficacy and provides them the opportunity to take pride in their accomplishments.
Our students' social emotional learning is a top priority at Sunnymeadows. Behavioral expectations are implemented, monitored, and evaluated following the “Positive Behavior Intervention and Support” (PBIS) research-based process. Sunnymeadow's school-wide PBIS Rewards Program works to incentivize students' good choices and behavior with a point system where students can shop an online student store for prizes.
STEAM
STEAM Pathway Sunnymeadows is proud to be a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) Pathway school. The STEAM pathway provides students with opportunities for inquiry based learning and rich academic conversations that prepare our students to be 21st century learners. Teachers are encouraged to use these STEAM Labs as catalysts that inspire future STEAM lessons that they plan within their own classrooms.
